Clarkesville’s municipally owned water and wastewater utilities are locally controlled and managed, providing competitive rates, reliability, efficiency and better responsiveness to customer concerns. For more information, contact the Utility Department located at Clarkesville City Hall or call (706) 754-4216.

Water and Sewer Service

Water and sewer service is available for city residents and for some county residents. All new customers must pay a deposit. In addition, initial hook-ups, water and sewer tap fees must be paid. “Initial hook-up" refers to the first time City water and sewer service is installed at a residence or business.

Other Information:

• $100 Deposit for all new accounts
• Additional impact fees apply to certain areas.
• Payments are due by the 15th of each month.
• Payments after the 15th incur a 10% late penalty.
• Accounts disconnected for non-payment must be paid in full, along with a $35 administrative fee, for service to be restored.
