HISTORIC CLARKESVILLE HOMES

The City of Clarkesville has many beautiful historic homes. These private residences are representative of our townspeoples' efforts to preserve our heritage.
The Charm House
This Greek Revival house was built in 1907 by W. R. Asbury and named "Oak Heights.
Porter-York House
This mid-nineteenth century Greek Revival style home was built by John Porter. It was the home of M.C. York, founder of Standard Telephone Company, which evolved into Alltel and Windstream.
